Overview
The Computer Science Department offers B.Tech and M.Tech degree courses. The degrees equip the graduate to develop software-based solutions for problems in a variety of contexts.
The curricula of our degrees conform to the highest international standards and provide the fundamental knowledge that is required in all important areas of computer science. A wide variety of computer science modules are taught, emphasizing state-of-the-art application of computer science in today's IT industry.
Ethical implications and professional values for the computer science graduate are also covered in the curricula. We see them and feel their influence in disciplines such as science and engineering, medical systems, manufacturing systems, defense, transportation systems, space, exploration, and many others. Computer Science leads the long tradition of technological developments in our world. The influence and achievements of Computer Science are remarkable and are destined to grow for decades.
The undergraduate program is designed to reinforce students’ educational breadth with specialized areas such as Discrete Mathematical Structures, Digital Logic and Design, Object Oriented Programming, Formal Languages and Automata Theory, Computer Security, Network Security and Cryptography, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Graphics - just to name a few from a long list of exciting topics. The Masters program, rich in content, is taught by top-notch faculty from excellent universities from around the globe.
Undergraduates take Industry Oriented Mini Projects at the end of third year of the four years program. Further, the students shall pursue one semester of facultysupervised independent study, working either on a project of their own choice or on a faculty-sponsored research project. The innovative nature of the project challenges the students’ intellectual bent of mind.
